A grant is a monetary subsidy for the development of a scientific, medical, public, educational or artistic project. The word "grant" in English means "talent." Often, the recipients of the grant undertake to report to the grantor about what they spent money on and what the effect turned out to be.
Grants can be both public and private. The recipient of the grant can also be a private person, or an organization: a theater, a laboratory or a university. Especially important are grants for young scientists whose scientific research does not always bring profit, but is necessary for the development of science and society.
